Job Summary: Volvo Shreveport is seeking a highly motivated and customer service-oriented Parts Counterperson to join our team. As a Parts Counterperson, you will be responsible for assisting customers with their automotive parts needs, maintaining inventory levels, and completing sales transactions. This is a full-time, individual contributor position in the automotive industry located in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Responsibilities: - Greet and assist customers who come to the parts counter with their automotive parts inquiries or purchases - Identify and locate the needed automotive parts for customers by using catalogues and computer systems - Review and research customer vehicle information to ensure correct parts are being sold - Ensure that all customers receive a high level of customer service and satisfaction - Maintain an organized and clean parts department and inventory - Monitor and order inventory from various vendors to ensure adequate stock levels - Complete sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including handling payment and issuing receipts - Provide pricing information and answer questions about parts and accessories - Communicate with technicians and other departments to ensure timely delivery of parts - Keep up-to-date with new product knowledge, features, and accessories - Assist in maintaining accurate records of sales, inventory, and customer interactions.

Requirements: - High School Diploma or equivalent - Prior experience in an automotive parts counter or dealership setting preferred - Excellent customer service and communication skills - Strong organizational and time-management skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Proficient in computers and basic math - Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods of time - Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends as needed.
