Job Details

Our hospital based ambulance transport service is seeking an experienced EMS/Medical dispatcher. The job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to; receiving calls and dispatching appropriate staff for six ground transport ambulances. The work week will consist of 8 hour days M-F, and the applicant must be flexible as the schedule will be based on departmental needs including occasional weekend vacation coverage. The candidate can expect a general hospital orientation combined with a unit specific orientation with preceptorship. The length of your orientation will be based on your experience and level of comfort.

The position will require the applicant to be proficient with Windows based computer programs, including MS Office; have effective interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work independently. Medical Terminology or EMT certification is preferred.
