Job Summary:

The Pipe Shop Assistant supports daily operations in the pipe fabrication or manufacturing shop. This position assists with preparing materials, organizing tools and equipment, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work well in a fast-paced industrial setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with measuring, cutting, and preparing pipes according to job specifications.
• Load, unload, and move materials within the shop or to designated work areas.
• Support welders, fitters, and machinists with tools, materials, and setup.
• Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Perform basic inspections of pipes and materials for defects or irregularities.
• Help with assembling pipe fittings, flanges, and components as directed.
• Follow all safety procedures and report any hazards or equipment issues immediately.
• Maintain accurate records of materials used and work completed.

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Previous experience in a manufacturing, welding, or pipe shop environment is a plus.
• Ability to read a tape measure and follow written or verbal instructions.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
