Technical Services Consultant – Polymer/Wastewater

Job Overview

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Polymer and Pretreatment, the Technical Services Consultant provides application support to sales representatives and clients in polymer screening, treatment program selection, troubleshooting, and preparing trip reports to advance sales.

Responsibilities

• Provide field sales technical assistance and product recommendations, including plant surveys, proposal preparation, sales presentations, and application testing.
• Apply knowledge of polymer chemistry and testing procedures to support solutions in the Chemical/Refining and Food & Beverage verticals.
• Assist sales representatives in product screening, treatment program selection, application, and troubleshooting to meet cost and performance objectives.
• Travel throughout the continental U.S. (average three days/two nights per week, ~70% travel).
• Offer field troubleshooting and technical assistance, including problem solving, on‑site training for sales representatives and operators, and equipment inspections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in biology, chemistry, engineering, or related fields.
• Ten+ years of field experience in water and wastewater treatment, or equivalent to a four‑year degree.
• Five or more years' experience with a major water treatment company.

Location & Travel

Position located in Houston, Texas, remote work allowed. Travel across the continental U.S., Canada, and Latin America as required.

Compensation & Benefits

USD $145,000 – $155,000 per year. Benefits include paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and a comprehensive package.
