A warm, grounded family in Shreveport, Louisiana is seeking a confident, nurturing, and highly knowledgeable full-time nanny to join them as they embark on their journey as new parents. With a sweet baby boy born in September 2025, this role is ideal for an experienced infant-care professional who is passionate about early development and enjoys partnering closely with parents through the formative first years. This is a long-term opportunity with a 12 year commitment; the family anticipates relocating after that time and would welcome a nanny who is open to moving with them, though this is not required.

The mother will be returning to part-time work from home as a mental health counselor and values focused, dependable coverage during the workday. The father is in the military and participates in an internship program that includes periodic travel, sometimes ranging from five days to two weeks. As the family does not have relatives nearby, they have cultivated a strong community of friends and are looking for a nanny who will become a trusted, integral part of their daily rhythm. Their home environment is calm, respectful, collaborative, and rooted in open communication.

The ideal nanny brings deep experience with infant development, including starting solids, navigating the transition from breast milk to formula, and confidently supporting developmental milestones. The family's parenting style blends structure and routine with flexibility and warmthprioritizing consistency, connection, and plenty of cuddles. They value a nanny who can gently guide them through each stage while keeping them informed and engaged in their child's progress.

Days will include intentional developmental play, milestone tracking, reading, outdoor walks, and age-appropriate outings as the child grows, such as swim lessons, library visits, and medical or therapy appointments as needed. There is no screen time for the baby. The nanny should be comfortable traveling with the family three to four times per year, including occasional holidays and possible international trips, and be open to occasional overnights when parents are traveling. This position follows a Monday through Friday schedule from approximately 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with the possibility of additional hours as needed. The family is seeking a nanny with at least five years of professional experience, including substantial infant care, who is well-versed in AAP safe sleep guidelines, comfortable caring for a baby independently, and confident managing care during travel periods. Strong communication skills, a proactive and collaborative mindset, comfort with a dog, authorization to work in the United States, and a valid passport with minimal travel restrictions are required. Flexibility to support the family during extended parental travel periods is essential.

Compensation ranges from $3045 per hour, depending on experience, with an expected annual compensation of $60,000$90,000+ based on rate, overtime, and travel. Benefits include two weeks of paid vacation, three to five sick days, two mental health days, and a $300 monthly health insurance stipend with proof of coverage. For out-of-town candidates, the family is willing to offer a $2,500 relocation bonus, though local candidates are preferred.
