Tasks
General - all positions
Runs practices and procedures established for their job.
Responsible to properly operate and maintain equipment and tools at their position.
Responsible for meeting the safety standards of his department, and the use of protective equipment according to the basic table in the area.
The order and cleanliness are made according to the program area.
Works under the Quality System.
Participates in training programs, safety and technical courses at the times set by the company.
Responsible for complying with the provisions of the Contract and the Working Rules.
All line operators are required to carry 2way radio and be available for communication at all times during scheduled shift.

Entry Operator
Feeds the SAP system with operational data.
Supports all operating activities scheduled preventive maintenance.
Is responsible for notifying the supervisor when there is a deviation in the yield of the raw material.
Is responsible for reporting faults or abnormalities as well as improvements of the equipment under his responsibility to the supervisor.
Check the requirements of the production program under its responsibility.
Applies all operating procedures of the Quality System applicable to his area to maintain continuous the line.
Constantly checks the raw material in size, shape and form according to the production schedule, and in case of failure takes the decision not process out of spec material.
Feeds the line with raw material.
Maintains an orderly clean work area.
Be available to assist with all activities as required and directed by Supervisor
Specific
Exit Inspector
Responsible for visual inspection of the material in the exit area according to procedures.
Responsible to follow production schedule and ensure product meets customer requirement as it relates to gauge, width, surface strip shape
Support sample collection as directed by Lab Operator.
Communicate with line personnel any necessary adjustment that may be needed.
Responsible for support to other departments during the downtime of the line or when required, under the supervision of staff who is involved in this area.
Is responsible for reporting faults or abnormalities as well as improvements of the equipment under their responsibility to shift manager.
Work according to operational procedures System
Quality to maintain continuous operation.
Inspects the quality of the Shape.
Inspect and take action as needed to minimize defect accumulation, be able to make decision to abort if visual quality is unacceptable.
Provide operational support to any section as requested.
Always be available through radio communication

Primer Coater Operator

Beware of upcoming changes and be prepared to execute at all times
Be aware production schedule at all times
Keep all tools in good working condition, ensure tools are replaced when they become damaged or do not comply with Ternium procedures.
Review schedule and ensure the proper products are prepared and for scheduled job.
Always use numeric codes to identify correct paint
Keep work area clean and free of unnecessary debris
React to all instruction communicated by other line personnel
Report any and all abnormalities to Supervisors
Ensure accurate reporting
Be available to assist with all activities as required and directed by Supervisor

Roll Grinding Operator
Responsible for resurfacing all coating line applicator roll (MCL/CPL).
Manage and track roll diameters to ensure rolls are within specification
Inspect ensure that roll surfaces are free from defects
Remove and install as needed bearing
Inspect Journals and ensure proper bearing fit
Prepare rolls for shipping as needed for re-covering
Maintain machine cleanliness and report any problems regarding machine operation to Supervisor and or Maintenance shift personnel
Participate line roll inspection PM's this may involve checking roll shape and diameter using Pi-tape.
Keep machine and general area clean and orderly

Floater
This position must perform all the tasks of Entry / Exit / Coater / Scales and Packaging / Waste Water / Paint / Slitter Operators / Team Lead as needed.

Paint Receiving Operator
Unload, receive, tag, & warehouse paint and chemicals.
Supply paint and chemicals to line as needed for production
Keep paint in designated areas per warehouse layout design
Rotate primers & backers regularly to ensure FIFO
Collect, consolidate, & file coater logs daily.
Contribute daily to general cleanup of paint warehouses and work area
File batch panels, receiving paperwork, & coater logs daily
Perform equipment inspections & safety observations at required intervals
Compact & label waste drums
Maintain orderly inventory and records of paint and chemicals by performing & correcting biweekly warehouse scans.
Process slop backer drums through the tote
Combine & retag drums for substitutions & secondary runs as needed
Assist EH&S with loading waste trucks & tote return trucks as requested
Patch holes in drums & clean up spills when needed
Assists in emergency roll changes and regular roll changes in coater.
Assists in his and other departments as directed by Supervisor.
Operates other positions during absences as directed by Supervisor
