Job Title: Low Voltage Service Technician
Location: Shreveport, LA
Pay rate: $25-30/HR
Company Summary: Our client is a proven leader in the communications industry, offering a professional level of cabling expertise to their partners. Having been around for over fifteen years, our client provides the resources necessary for their team members to excel and reach their career goals in the communications industry.
Position Summary: Anistar is seeking an experienced Low Voltage Service Technician to provide assistance with the installation, termination, and testing of various types of voice and data cables as well as A/V equipment. MUST be comfortable working from a lift.
Requirements:
- Strong experience troubleshooting, terminating, and testing fiber optic cables
- Proficiency with Corning Unicam fiber termination (preferred)
- Experience with fusion splicing and/or anaerobic fiber termination methods
- Demonstrated ability to locate fiber faults and effectively repair issues
- Working knowledge of analog POTS lines, including using a butt set to trace and verify dial tone
- Experience supporting fax machines and alarm panels
- Ability to diagnose and resolve service-related issues independently in the field
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel occasionally (covering a 2-3 hour radius, staying out of town 1-2 days at a time maybe 1-2 times a month)
Preferred / Bonus Skills:
- Experience with CCTV systems
- Knowledge of access control systems
- Familiarity with paging systems
- Experience with A/V systems or other low-voltage technologies
