Job Details:

This Field Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in maintaining the operations of Dollar General stores across assigned locations. You will be responsible for actively responding to maintenance requests and performing preventative maintenance to ensure store operations remain efficient.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough and timely assessments of maintenance issues reported by store leadership.
  • Travel to various store locations to troubleshoot and solve maintenance concerns, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Support entry-level repairs and preventative maintenance efforts, including light exterior grounds support.
  • Educate store leaders on maintenance best practices to enhance the performance and longevity of store equipment.
  • Document and track maintenance tickets using our Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to ensure timely resolutions.
  • Provide operational solutions and training as needed, adding value to customer service and brand growth.
  • Occasional after-hours work may be required based on urgent repair needs.

Qualifications:

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance issues.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Unwavering commitment to customer service excellence.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Previous retail or store management experience is preferred.
  • Physical ability to lift 50 lbs or more when necessary.

Work Experience and Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Active Driver's License is required, with willingness to travel up to 100% of the time.
  • Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Background Check.
