DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Main duties and responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned.)
•
• Creates, modifies, and distributes documents, reports, and spreadsheets using various office equipment, including personal computers and peripherals (printer, scanner), copier, fax, document shredder, and labeling systems.
• Professionally manages multiple incoming telephone lines and interacts courteously and effectively with citizens and employees.
• Provides clerical and administrative support to Parks Administration, Walter B. Jacobs Nature Center, and the Parks Maintenance crew.
• Serves as a gift shop cashier, handling point-of-sale transactions, cash handling, inventory support, and customer service.
• Acts as a Nature Center admission attendant, collecting admission fees, greeting visitors, providing basic facility information, and ensuring accurate recordkeeping.
• Assists with special projects and performs routine departmental functions as assigned.
• Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and or ability required.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required. An Associate Degree or two (2) years of applicable experience is preferred.
• The ability to function at an intermediate level of computer proficiency (email, internet, word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and database applications.)
• Ability to interpret policies and procedures, plan and organize work, and to establish and maintain effective work relationships.
