Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications willnot be considered.

This opportunity seeks a Special Education Teacher to support students in grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12 within a dynamic school environment. The position involves delivering tailored educational programs that meet the diverse needs of students with special learning requirements, ensuring their academic and social growth.

Qualifications:

• Possession of a valid Special Education Teacher License
• Demonstrated experience with special education students across multiple grade levels preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with educators, families, and specialists
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)

Location: Shreveport, LA

Responsibilities:

• Develop and adapt instructional materials and lessons for students with special needs in grades K-12
• Assess student progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with federal and state regulations
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, administrators, and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to planning for student accommodations and modifications
• Provide behavioral support and foster a positive classroom climate that encourages student engagement

This contract position begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year. The role requires a commitment of 30+ hours per week, Monday through Friday.
