Gaming Revenue Host

Enhances the growth of gaming revenues through the development of our customer base. Maintains relationships with valued gaming guests and markets our gaming product to both established VIP guests and potential VIP guests. Supports Casino Marketing and Executive Hosts by meeting, greeting and assisting guests while they are on property.

General requirements include a college degree preferred, two to five years host or player development experience in a major gaming operation, minimum of two years of guest services experience, ability to resolve stressful situations, and exceptional guest service skills. Experience in casino and or hotel environment is preferred, as is bi-lingual ability. Proven track record of increasing gaming revenue through established customer base is a plus. Must have strong telemarketing skills, computer literacy in PCS, AS400 and Microsoft office preferred, and excellent interpersonal, communication, team-building and problem-solving skills. Must be resourceful and highly motivated in seeking out new VIP opportunities, able to work effectively across all departments, and present a well-groomed, professional appearance. Must be willing to adhere to all Louisiana gaming regulations and guidelines, work any shift and any day when necessary, and be able to work extended hours during special events, including limited overnight travel. Must have the ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays, and be able to obtain a Louisiana Gaming license.

Essential job functions include welcoming guests, providing exceptional customer service, following all relevant policies and procedures, communicating with co-workers, Table and Slot team members, supervisors and guests, hosting special events, arranging special services for guests related to level of play, meeting and greeting players on the casino floor and at special events and promotions, making sound complimentary decisions based on tracked customer play, greeting guests and maintaining the highest levels of courtesy, friendliness and hospitable attitude throughout interactions, providing hands-on service for VIP guests that are coded to Executive Hosts and Player Development Directors, encouraging repeat visitation from guests and driving additional trips, attempting to develop guest play levels to the level of being assigned an Executive Host, demonstrating exceptional guest services to both internal and external customers, remaining informed of competitive promotional methods, ability to meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to departmental and company policies, and ability to maintain confidentiality of VIP information. Performs other duties as assigned by Management.

Demands necessary to complete essential job functions include the ability to move quickly around property, stand or sit for a long period of time, bend, crouch, kneel, twist and work at a desk, respond to visual and aural cues, work independently and proven to be self-motivated, present a well-groomed appearance, and have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment. Work environment includes continuously maneuvering around office and casino, responding calmly and making rational decisions when handling guests' needs, and tolerating areas containing secondhand smoke.
