Pay rate: $40/hr on W2.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with strong SQL expertise to join our data team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines, databases, and ETL processes while ensuring data accuracy, performance, and availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Write complex and optimized SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver data solutions.
• Develop and maintain data models, data warehouses, and reporting systems.
• Ensure data quality, accuracy, and availability across systems.
• Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues in data workflows.
• Automate routine data processes and enhance data pipeline efficiency.
• Work with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure) and modern data tools as needed.

• Strong experience in SQL and database development (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Snowflake, etc.)
• Hands-on experience building ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like Apache Airflow, dbt, or similar
• Solid understanding of data warehousing and data modeling (star/snowflake schemas)
• Experience working with large datasets and optimizing performance
• Familiarity with scripting/programming (Python or Scala)
• Experience with version control (Git)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
