Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Early Childhood Special Education Teacher is needed for an elementary school setting, serving children ages 3 to 4. This contract position runs from ASAP through May 19, 2026, and is located in Shreveport, LA. The role requires an itinerant schedule, traveling between various school sites, daycares, and Head Start centers to provide specialized instruction within students homeschool environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver developmentally appropriate, state-aligned lessons tailored to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Coordinate and lead IEP meetings in compliance with the special education calendar.
• Conduct rigorous progress monitoring to track student achievement of IEP goals.
• Organize mobile learning environments and leverage technology to foster engaging and effective instruction.
• Maintain accurate electronic records and submit timely progress reports.
• Collaborate closely with parents, teachers, and community partners to promote student success.

Qualifications:

• Valid Louisiana Special Education Teaching Certification (ECSE) is required and must be presented.
• Experience in implementing instructional strategies for early childhood special education.
• Ability to travel between multiple locations within the district.
• Strong organizational skills and proficiency with electronic record-keeping.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with families and educational teams.
