Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity exists for a dedicated Early Childhood Special Education Teacher to serve young learners aged 3 to 4 in an itinerant role within Bossier City, LA. This contract position runs through the end of the current school year and requires dividing time between various preschool and daycare settings, including Head Start centers, to provide specialized instruction.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering developmentally appropriate lessons tailored to support diverse learner needs, aligned with state and local curricula
• Leading IEP meetings in adherence to the special education calendar and conducting consistent progress monitoring to ensure student goals are met
• Creating and managing mobile learning environments utilizing technology to foster a stimulating and positive educational atmosphere
• Maintaining accurate electronic records and submitting progress reports in a timely fashion
• Collaborating closely with parents, educators, and community partners to promote student success

Essential qualifications:

• Valid Louisiana Special Education teaching certification specific to Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE)
• Experience working with preschool-aged children with special education needs
• Ability and willingness to travel between multiple school and community sites within the district
