Director, Services - Driving Transformation in Insurance Technology
Location: Remote (U.S.) | Must be within commuting distance of New York / New Jersey
Role Overview
At Majesco, transformation isn't theory - it's execution.
We partner with the world's leading insurers to modernize legacy systems, digitize operations, and bring new products to market faster. As Director, Services, you will lead the execution of complex, multi-million-dollar SaaS programs that redefine how insurance technology is delivered and sustained.
This is a hands-on, execution-first leadership role for a senior delivery leader who thrives in complexity. You will stay close to plans, teams, risks, and outcomes - stepping in early, making decisions, and ensuring delivery excellence from kickoff through production stability.
You are accountable not just for delivery, but for results: timelines, margins, quality, production stability, and client confidence.
Preference: Strong expertise in Property & Casualty Insurance is ideal, though senior leaders across Life, Annuity, Health, or Group Benefits with large-scale technology delivery experience are encouraged to apply.
Travel: Remote-first with travel 3-4 times per month to client locations in the NY/NJ area.
Key Responsibilities
This role exists to drive outcomes, not activity. The responsibilities below reflect where you will personally lead, intervene, and own results.
- Own end-to-end execution of a portfolio of complex, concurrent SaaS delivery programs, ensuring commitments on timeline, quality, scope, and margin are met.
- Lead from the front - staying deeply engaged in plans, estimates, risks, dependencies, and delivery details, intervening early when outcomes drift.
- Drive delivery through measurable business outcomes, holding teams accountable for results rather than process adherence alone.
- Take decisive ownership during high-pressure delivery moments, providing clarity, direction, and resolution rather than escalation loops.
- Anticipate delivery, financial, and stakeholder risks through experience, data, and pattern recognition - acting before issues impact clients or results.
- Own production readiness, go-live quality, and post-go-live stability, ensuring strong operational outcomes and sustained client confidence.
- Accelerate delivery performance through effective use of tooling, automation, and emerging AI capabilities across planning, execution, and reporting.
- Partner directly with client executives and steering committees to align technology delivery with business strategy and value realization.
- Oversee financial governance, forecasting, and profitability across programs, using systems such as NetSuite to ensure transparency and control.
- Build strong, accountable delivery leaders by coaching project managers and program leads to operate with ownership, discipline, and clarity.
What Success Looks Like In the first 6 -12 months, success in this role means:
- Programs consistently deliver on committed timelines, margins, and quality benchmarks.
- Escalations decrease due to early risk identification and decisive intervention.
- Production stability and post-go-live confidence improve across client programs.
- Project leaders operate with clear ownership, strong judgment, and accountability.
What You Bring - 10+ years of senior leadership experience delivering enterprise software or SaaS solutions for insurance or financial services organizations.
- Proven success leading large-scale transformation programs ($5M-$20M+) across multi-disciplinary, multi-vendor teams.
- Deep understanding of insurance operations, data, and digital enablement - ideally in P&C, with openness to all insurance lines.
- Strong command of delivery governance, risk management, and financial control.
- Hands-on experience with Agile delivery models, NetSuite, Jira, and modern delivery toolchains.
- Executive presence with the ability to operate comfortably in both boardroom discussions and delivery execution forums.
- Bachelor's degree required; PMP, CPCU, or Scrum Master certification preferred.
