Maintains perpetual inventory or similar receipt, stock, and issue records. Safeguards theft. May be required to post maintenance and repair data concerning vehicles and equipment. Prepares reports and maintains files and records as directed. Generate purchase orders and post into automated system. Demonstrates knowledge and use of computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and related documentation procedures. Initiates work orders. Subject to be on call 24/7. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
1. High school diploma, GED, or the equivalent. 2. Valid vehicle operator's license at time of hire. 3. One (1) year experience as Stock Clerk I or other experience in inventory, warehouse or stockroom related positions. 4. Ability to type at average rate of speed of 20 words per minutes; to apply arithmetic principles through percentage and fractions; to operate calculator and adding machine with average proficiency; and knowledge of double -entry bookkeeping principles Water and Sewer Only:
1) High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution 2) One (1) year of experience in inventory, warehouse or stock room related occupations. 3) Valid State Vehicle Operator's License with class applicable to assigned position. 4) Ability to apply arithmetic principles through percentage and fractions; to operate calculator and adding machine with average proficiency; and knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping principles equivalent to two (2) year high school level courses. 5) These abilities and knowledge may have been acquired by any combination of formal education, vocational training, and completion of correspondence courses. 6) Field Operations Assignment - Valid Class 1 Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection Certificates issued by the State of Louisiana, Dept. of Health and Hospitals is preferred but not required.
