Job Description
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing material, tools, equipment, and products within the parts storage racks.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Uses appropriate material handling equipment to move completed manufactured and/or purchased parts from various departments and storing them in the parts storage racks.
Skids, wraps and bands materials as required for safe routing and storage.
Removes damaged parts from the storage areas and reports their condition to his/her supervisor.
Creates and uses Syteline generated "parts pull paint lists" to pull and organize parts by type and color based on backlog schedule requirement and readies them for the painting operation.
Sorts and places parts onto material handling carts and places them at the front of the paint line; parts are to be clearly marked with the color they are to be painted and when they need to be completed through the paint operation.
Reports daily parts pull activities to his/her supervisor and updates all parts pull paint list documents to accurately record the department's progress.
Observes all safety procedures and uses all personal safety equipment required.
Maintains the parts storage area so that parts are storage properly and in a logical order.
Reports any unsafe conditions or activities observed to supervisor.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
The employee must continually lift and/or move up to 40-250 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision; distance vision.
