Position Summary
Steel Forgings Inc. (SFI) is a leading manufacturer of custom butt weld fittings that has been servicing the oil and gas industry for over 70 years. SFI is seeking a Press Operator to join the SFI team

Responsibilities:

• Manufacture fittings to detail job specifications.
• Change out press tooling based on production schedule.
• Organize and maintain press tooling.
• Operate and control the press furnaces.
• Ability to read and understand detailed job requirements (job traveler).
• Operating mobile equipment.
• Must be able to take instruction and follow production and safety guidelines.
• In absence of lead press operator, assume the responsibilities of the day to day operation of the press and production output.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience operating a press or industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Prior forklift certification.
• Ability to read and understand drawings.
• Must be able to utilize micrometers, calipers, and scales.
• Compliance with all safety policies and procedures.

• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment.
• Movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, and other active movements.
• Working in hot environments for extended periods.
