The Manufacturing Engineering Team Leader at SLB leads a team of engineers to develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes that deliver high-quality products efficiently and cost-effectively. This role ensures alignment between design engineering, production, quality, and supply chain teams to support SLB's commitment to innovation and operational excellence.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management
Lead and mentor the manufacturing engineering team, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Set objectives, conduct performance reviews, and support professional development.
Process Development & Optimization
Design and implement manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance sustainability.
Apply lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to drive productivity and minimize waste.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with design engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure smooth product launch and process integration.
Coordinate with supply chain and maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability and availability.
Technology & Innovation
Oversee the introduction of new equipment, automation systems, and advanced manufacturing technologies.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain SLB's competitive edge.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure adherence to SLB policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards (ISO, etc.).
Promote a safe and environmentally responsible work environment.
Budget & Cost Control
Develop operational budgets and manage costs within approved limits.
Analyze production data to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical manufacturing experience.
7+ years in manufacturing engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Proven experience in lean manufacturing, process optimization, and project management.
Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills
Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
Preferred Skills:
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Proficiency in CAD tools, ERP systems, and manufacturing simulation software.
Knowledge of quality systems and certifications (ISO, Six Sigma, PMP preferred).
