Job Summary:

As a Bakery Team Member, you will package, label, and price bakery items while ensuring product quality and stock levels by monitoring freshness, appearance, and temperature control.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Adhere to quality control and food safety standards by ensuring proper stocking and rotation of baked goods.
• Assist bakery staff in preparing, packaging, labeling, and showcasing products.
• Boost product sales through effective, friendly customer engagement.
• Organize and sort products into designated areas to maintain company standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace by adhering to safety protocols.
• Deliver excellent customer service by greeting shoppers, answering inquiries, and taking orders.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to read and operate digital scales and equipment.
• Capable of using tools and equipment such as bread slicers and commercial ovens safely.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
• Strong communication skills in both written and verbal formats.
• Able to work collaboratively within a team.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficient in identifying potential hazards and reporting them appropriately.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Food Handler certification is required.
• On-the-job training will be provided.

Physical Demands:

• Regularly required to use close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
• Frequent hand use for reaching, touching, or handling items.
• Capability to lift and move objects regularly up to 40 lbs, and occasionally up to 75 lbs.
• Regular attendance is crucial.

Work Context and Environment:

• Work is typically performed in a retail store environment.
• Regular exposure to hot and cold surfaces and wet conditions.
• May come into contact with equipment that has sharp edges and cleaning agents.
