ROLE
We are seeking a General Clerk II to support the United States Attorney's Office for the Western District of Louisiana (USAO WDLA) in Shreveport, LA. In this role, you will provide administrative and litigation support for immigration matters, with a focus on deadline tracking and case file management.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review immigration filings and track temporary restraining order (TRO) and other injunctive-relief deadlines
- Update local and division-wide deadlines and documents daily, as well as docket information
- Maintain databases/files and correspondence regarding immigration litigation compliance
- Prepare documentation pertinent to new, current, and closing immigration cases
- Communicate with agency staff regarding deadlines, data gathering and entry, and case details
- Assist with full case openings for immigration cases
- Provide additional clerical and litigation-support assistance as assigned
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of administrative and office support practices
- Ability to create, format, and manage documents and records
- Skill in data entry and strong attention to detail
REQUIRED BACKGROUND
At a minimum, the ideal applicant must have:
- Certificate or associate's degree in office administration, paralegal studies, or a related field
- At least one (1) year of clerical, office, or administrative support experience
- Substitution: A bachelor's degree may be used in place of the 1 year of experience
