Payment Posting Clerk Location: Shreveport, LA Pay Rate: $14.00 $16.00 per hour Shift: Monday Friday | 8 AM 4:30 PM

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience in medical billing, collections, or insurance follow-up is preferred

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

Comfortable working with billing systems and insurance portals

Basic computer skills

Familiar with Microsoft software

Payment Processing: Import from websites and post payments from batches as well as patient credit card payments.

Billing Management: Generate invoices for services, ensuring that all charges are accurately captured and recorded.

Insurance Claims: Post insurance payments, rejections, and refunds.

HIPAA Compliance: Comply with the requirements of HIPAA in respect to the privacy of individually identifiable health information and the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of PHI.

Cultural Contribution: Promote a culture that reflects the organization's values, encourages good performance, and enhances productivity.

Time Management: Have the capacity to stay on task, avoid distractions, and manage time efficiently.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in medical billing software and familiarity with medical terminology on Explanation of Benefits.
