Pay Rate: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM | Monday - Friday

We're hiring a Medical Billing Clerk in Shreveport to support a growing healthcare team. If you know ICD, CPT, claims, and reimbursements-and love turning complex data into clean, accurate billing-this role is built for you.
What's Required
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in healthcare or business is a plus.
- Experience in medical billing, collections, or insurance follow-up is strongly preferred.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accurac y.
- Comfortable working with billing systems and insurance portals.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

- Follow up on unpaid, delayed, or denied insurance claims through phone calls, portals, or emails.
- Research and resolve claim issues by communicating with insurance companies and documenting outcomes in internal systems.
- Assist with corrections, resubmissions, or appeals as needed to help secure payment.
- Identify trends in denials or slow payments and escalate to the billing team or management.
- Maintain organized records of all follow-up actions and communication s.
- Collaborate with billing and administrative staff to ensure smooth processing of claims.
- Meet productivity and accuracy goals in a fast-paced environment.
