Location: 2940 Bert Kouns Industrial Loop, LA 71118

Schedule: Monday through Friday - Full-Time, 40 hours

Pay: Starting at $18.00/hour (depending on experience) with 90 day evaluation & pay rate change

Summary

Glaz-Tech is looking to fill the position of a Shipping/Receiving Handler. We are looking for a responsible, adaptable and selfdriven individual looking to grow in the manufacturing industry. The job functions include handling, packaging and loading/unloading glass panes that will be produced into dual pane windows, shower doors, table tops, mirrors, etc.

Responsibilities May Include:
  • Manage all receiving and loading operations, including scheduling of deliveries, unloading/loading of vehicles and maintaining route organization.
  • Ensure that all incoming shipments are accurately and promptly processed
  • Monitor route efficiency with emphasis on load value, route length, and frequency
  • Supervise and train receiving and loading staff
  • Monitor the accuracy of all receiving and shipping records, including inventory and stock levels
  • Maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment
  • Identify and resolve receiving, shipping, and inventory discrepancies
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth and accurate operations
  • Oversight of vehicles maintaining proper documentation and preventative maintenance schedules
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize receiving processes
Requirements:
  • Relevant experience in receiving and inventory management
  • Knowledge of warehouse procedures and equipment
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to safely lift 50-75 pounds
  • Must be able to read a tape measure down to 1/8"
  • Ability to physically stand for 8 hours per day
  • Ability to complete simple computer task
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills and ability to communicate in English
  • Background check/drug screen
Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Authorized to work in the US
