Job Responsibilities
  • Must have the ability to learn new systems using RF scanners to perform transactions in SAP. Use handheld scanner for stock put away and stock transfers.
  • Unload all inbound trucks/load all outbound trucks.
  • Assist with warehouse organization as time permits.
  • Enter goods receipts.
  • Label and put away all inbound materials, and items being returned to the warehouse.
  • Assist and pull material for all mill personnel that enters the warehouse.
  • Answer calls to the front desk. Responsible for all walk in and will call deliveries.
  • Deliver requested materials to all destinations in the plant.
  • Drive continuous improvement. This includes steady increases in employee productivity, cycle time reduction, and lead time reductions.
  • Communicate with internal and external customers and maintains familiarity with customer expectations while constantly looking for opportunities to exceed those expectations.
  • Responsible for general housekeeping in the warehouse area.
  • Attend and participate in project meetings and project reviews.
Job Requirements
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent certification is required.
  • Has experience with the operation of powered industrial vehicles with certification.
  • Experience with SAP WMS is preferred and a huge plus.
  • Must have experience in a culture of continuous improvement and this should include 5S, KAIZEN, as well as a record of success with the elimination of waste.
  • Has experience in a manufacturing environment with safety programs and incident accountability.
  • Excellent manual dexterity, flexibility, and physical strength
  • Must have the ability to plan operational lifts thoughtfully and safely.
  • Excellent depth perception, hand-eye coordination, and a fast reaction time.
  • Ability to critically think and be able to make good judgment calls quickly.
  • Effectively use a computer for data entry, reporting and word processing.
