Position SummaryThe Service Operations Assistant supports front-end execution and overall store service operations by assisting with cashier supervision, customer service, and daily operational standards. This role helps ensure efficient checkout flow, strong service performance, and a clean, organized front-end environment.Key Responsibilities Front-End Operations* Assist in overseeing registers, self-checkout, and service desk activities* Monitor customer flow and adjust lane coverage to minimize wait times* Support opening, closing, and shift transitions* Provide backup coverage during peak periodsCustomer Service* Deliver prompt, friendly, and professional service* Resolve customer concerns and escalate issues when needed* Support service desk functions including returns, exchanges, and inquiries* Maintain a clean and welcoming front-end areaCash Handling & Compliance* Support register accountability and cash handling procedures* Ensure adherence to company policies and loss prevention standards* Monitor transactions for accuracy and complianceTeam Support* Assist in training and guiding front-end associates* Reinforce service standards and operational expectations* Provide direction and support during daily operationsOperational Support* Support store initiatives, promotions, and performance goals* Maintain supplies and organization at registers and service areas* Assist with basic reporting and communication to leadershipQualifications* High school diploma or equivalent preferred* Retail or customer service experience required* Strong communication and organizational skills* Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment* Leadership support experience preferredPhysical Requirements* Ability to stand for extended periods* Frequent walking, bending, and reaching* Ability to lift up to 25 lbsWork Environment* Fast-paced retail environment with frequent customer interaction* Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
