Group 1 Automotive Technician Opportunity

Group 1 Automotive is seeking experienced Main Line Automotive Technicians in Shreveport. This opportunity is designed for skilled, bumper-to-bumper technicians with strong diagnostic capabilities across drivability, electrical, suspension, brakes, engines, and transmissionsand who take pride in performing high-quality work. Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex automotive systems including engine, transmission, drivability, electrical, HVAC, suspension, and braking systems
• Perform advanced diagnostics using professional scan tools and testing equipment
• Independently manage assigned bay(s), repair orders, and workflow
• Accurately document diagnostics, repair recommendations, and completed work
• Collaborate with service advisors to explain repair needs and timelines
• Maintain productivity and quality in a flat?rate or performance?based environment
• Adhere to shop safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace

Qualifications

• Master Technicians and advanced diagnostic techs strongly encouraged to apply
• 2+ years of professional automotive repair experience
• Proven ability to independently manage workflow and repairs
• Strong diagnostic skills with minimal supervision
• Solid understanding of:
  • Electrical systems
  • Engine and drivability diagnostics
  • Suspension, steering, braking, and HVAC systems
• Experience performing major repairs in an OEM dealership environment
• Own professional-grade tools required for main line technician work
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
