This model is designed to build critical thinking, communication, creativity, and other essential 21st‑century skills through hands‑on learning experiences. Students are grouped and participate in elective‑style courses that may include technology, fitness, arts, and other enrichment experiences.Position SummaryThe DYAD program connects classroom learning with community‑based expertise. DYAD consultants do more than teach a class; they provide an experience through their expertise. The Physical Education Consultant helps students build confidence, teamwork, discipline, coordination, sportsmanship, and habits of success through movement, fitness, and age‑appropriate physical activities.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide engaging, structured, and experience‑based instruction in physical educationDevelop and provide their own curriculum aligned to the elective they teachIndependently plan, lead, and manage a class that reflects both their expertise and the expectations of the DYAD programCreate a safe, orderly, and productive learning environmentActively teach, monitor, and engage students throughout the class periodMaintain strong classroom management and uphold school expectationsEnsure students are participating in meaningful, hands‑on learning experiencesCommunicate professionally with campus staff and leadershipBe prepared, consistent, and dependable in daily instructionUse their expertise to connect classroom learning to real‑world experiencesContribute positively to the culture of the school and the integrity of the DYAD programCreate opportunities for parents and families to see and celebrate what students have accomplished through class showcases, skill demonstrations, presentations, or other demonstrations of learningQualificationsSkill, knowledge, and first‑hand experience in physical education, fitness, sports, or movement‑based instructionAbility to work effectively with students in a school settingStrong communication, organization, and classroom leadership skillsAbility to provide structured, engaging, and experience‑based learningCompensationThis is an hourly position paid at $30 per hour .
