POSITION SUMMARY Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within the manufacturing department according to production schedule. Review and distribute production, work, and shipment schedules, conferring with supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates and compiling reports on progress of work, inventory levels, costs, and production problems.Essential Job Functions includes the following, but are not limited to:Assists the Manufacturing Manager and Supervisors in the scheduling of fabrication and assembly jobs to ensure on-time delivery and to satisfy current and forecast ordersInterface with manufacturing personnel, purchasing personnel, etc. on material status and production planning issuesExpedites parts and information required from other departments to ensure scheduled work can be performedEnsures job routings are correctMonitors spare parts availability in stock and inventory turnover rateEstimating Assists Manufacturing Manager to develop accurate job estimatesCoordinates outside vendor work to ensure all parts are in house when requiredAssists Manufacturing Manager in achieving actual to estimate hours on jobsChange Notices and Reporting Works with other departments to ensure NCRs and RFCs are resolved and all work completedAssists Manufacturing Manager with the implementation of process improvement initiativesEnsures all reports produced are correct and are distributed to the appropriate departmentsEducation and/or Experience 1-3 years of manufacturing production control experience; Post-secondary education in technical field such as Business or Engineering. Five to ten years industrial/supervisory experience. Strong computer skills in Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
