Forklift Operator / Shipping & Receiving Associate

We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our team for a solar panel distribution project. This position requires operating an 8,000 lb. sit-down forklift with 6-foot forks to safely handle and move solar panel crates.

Position Details
Temporary full-time project-based assignment

Responsibilities

Safely unload, move, and stage 8-foot-long crates of solar panels
Operate an 8,000 lb. sit-down forklift with precision and care
Handle fragile glass solar panels using slow, controlled movements
Perform shipping and receiving duties
Scan and track inventory using handheld scanning devices
Maintain accurate records and communicate through email
Follow all safety procedures and warehouse protocols

Requirements

Proven experience operating an 8,000 lb. sit-down forklift
Ability to handle oversized and fragile materials safely
Experience with shipping and receiving processes
Comfortable using scan guns/handheld inventory devices
Basic computer skills, including email communication
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Reliable transportation and dependable attendance

Preferred Qualifications

Experience handling solar panels, glass products, or other fragile materials
Previous warehouse or distribution center experience

The ideal candidate understands that safety and precision are more important than speed. Solar panels are fragile, and careful handling is essential to success in this role.

Must be able to pass a background and drug test
