Forklift Operator / Shipping & Receiving Associate

We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our team for a solar panel distribution project. This position requires operating an 8,000 lb. sit-down forklift with 6-foot forks to safely handle and move solar panel crates.

Position Details Temporary full-time project-based assignment

Responsibilities

• Safely unload, move, and stage 8-foot-long crates of solar panels
• Operate an 8,000 lb. sit-down forklift with precision and care
• Handle fragile glass solar panels using slow, controlled movements
• Perform shipping and receiving duties
• Scan and track inventory using handheld scanning devices
• Maintain accurate records and communicate through email
• Follow all safety procedures and warehouse protocols

Requirements

• Proven experience operating an 8,000 lb. sit-down forklift
• Ability to handle oversized and fragile materials safely
• Experience with shipping and receiving processes
• Comfortable using scan guns/handheld inventory devices
• Basic computer skills, including email communication
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience handling solar panels, glass products, or other fragile materials
• Previous warehouse or distribution center experience
