In this role, you will assist in maintaining and supporting the Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) system and related technology infrastructure that enables public safety personnel to serve the community effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems administration, scripting, network support, and troubleshooting within a fast-paced environment where reliability and performance are critical.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, managing, and maintaining the district-wide CAD system and associated computer subsystems
• Support daily CAD operations, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and mobile data computer interfaces
• Coordinate CAD activities among public safety agencies to ensure seamless communication and data exchange
• Assist with Windows Server administration and Active Directory user account management
• Develop and maintain scripts to automate routine processes and improve system reliability
• Monitor system performance and implement performance tuning measures
• Troubleshoot software, hardware, and network-related issues in a timely manner
• Support system administration initiatives that improve operational efficiency and workflow automation
• Assist with maintenance activities to ensure high availability of critical public safety systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience administering Windows Server environments
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory and user account management
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
• Familiarity with Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems, public safety technology, or other mission-critical environments
• Experience with scripting and automation tools (PowerShell preferred)
• Knowledge of system performance tuning and optimization
• Database administration experience preferred
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multiple agencies and technical teams
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
