Job TitleResponsible for ordering, receiving, tracking, stocking and distributing supplies.Entry QualificationsMinimum of a High school diploma or equivalent required. Knowledge of medical and nursing terminology. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Knowledge of computer applications, spreadsheets and word processing.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesOrders all supplies necessary for resident care, comfort, safety and health of the residents. Verifies merchandise received with packing slip and purchase order. Labels merchandise appropriately upon receipt and store in designated areas. Distributes supplies and equipment to resident room or other designated areas. Maintains accurate updated reports of supply and equipment usage for submission to Business Office for ancillary billing purposes as required. Informs Business Office of new merchandise and/or price changes. Tracks levels of inventory to assure adequate availability of supplies. Contracts and compares various vendors for quality and pricing of merchandise. Completes and properly codes purchase orders, monthly spend downs and other required reports. Respects and maintains residents' dignity, individuality, privacy and confidentiality and is knowledgeable of Residents' Bill of Rights. Performs other duties as assigned.
